Hamilton Recreation Director Jeff Plunkett has been eyeing this opportunity since overseeing substantial upgrades to the field in 2017. DeMeo will also be the home of this year’s Mercer County Tournament semifinals and final (which it hosted last year), as the Trenton Thunder will occupy Arm & Hammer Park during the MCT. The games were previously played at Toms River high schools. The NJSIAA recently made it official that DeMeo Field at Veterans Park in Hamilton Township will be the site for all six state finals – four public, two non-public – on the weekend of June 9-10. The chance to stay home for the biggest game of their career. If, for some reason, Colonial Valley Conference baseball players need another incentive to try and reach their Group’s state championship game, they have one.
